The first time I picked up a club was when I was 14 years old. I am currently 16 and dedicated to the game of golf. I am devoted to practicing for hours on and off season to improve my game because I want to win. Each year golfing, I have dropped over 10 strokes. My freshman year, my first time ever golfing, I shot my lowest round of 98 at regionals. My sophomore year, my lowest round of golf was an 86 at my sectionals tournament. And this year, my lowest round was a 78 at RVC. My motivation for my senior year is to shoot in the low 70s and place in the top ten at State Finals. I played on the Illinois Lutheran HS Varsity Golf Team for three years, and in a short period of time I was awarded River Valley Conference Player of the Year twice, won the Illinois 1A Regional Competition, advanced to Sectionals, and participated in the State Finals. My scoring average in state and regional competition, from approximately 5,200 yards, is 81. I am hitting the ball farther this year and have been working hard on my short game. I know my senior year will be even better. My discipline and desire to do well in the classroom carries over to my golf game, and I am looking forward to the challenge of college golf. I have also played basketball and volleyball in high school and participated in other extracurricular activities, such as Vanguard Marching Band in WI, Honors Choir and High School band where I play 3 instruments. I plan on playing a competitive schedule of events in 2025 and trying to qualify for the USGA Junior Amateur.
