Personal Statement
I can remember the first time I picked up a club and hit the ball. Even though I missed the ball, I never stopped trying. Back then I had the goal of just trying to hit the ball, but now my goal is to get a score of under 90 on 18 holes. Most of my teammates get upset if they get a bad score, but I see it as an opportunity to be better. Every time I golf with my teammates, they always say that when they do bad, they don’t think it’s as bad as they usually do. I’m not only uplifting for sports, I’m also uplifting at school. My classmates and peers say I’m great in the class rooms. Ever since seventh grade, I’ve been in honors math. At my school honors math is math a whole grade ahead of you. Because I’m a great student athlete, I know I’ll be a great addition to your golf program.

- AwardsI have been in National Honors Society for the past two years. I was awarded Academic All Conference for maintaining a GPA higher than 3.76. I have been award Athlete of the Week twice for my golf season. I received many awards for academic excellence and straight A’s. I have also received the 2021 Jackie Ferguson Memorial Award through 4-H for outstanding leadership. I was also recently select as the student of the month for September.
- ActivitiesCurrently I am President of the Monrovia 4-H club and participate in 4-H junior leaders out of school. In school, I am a Junior Class Officer in Student Government, National Honors Society, Sunshine Club, Science Club, and Quizbowl. I was also selected to be a Hoosier Girls State Delegate. Through Hoosier Girls State, I ran and was elected to be precinct committeewomen and a member of the House of Representatives.
