I am Sydney Harrison, I am 5' 5" and 125 lbs. I have a 4.5 GPA with a rigorous academic schedule. I first started playing golf at tryouts in my freshman year, before that I had never played golf before. I first decided to play golf because of a serious injury from a soccer game, that restricts me from playing soccer. I found out that I love playing golf, in my first season I started out with a 70 for 9 holes and ended with a 40 for 9 holes. I have not had as early as a start as most golfer but I work my hardest to try and catch up to the other golfers. I would like to attend a college to play golf and pursue a degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering, after I receive my degree I would like to join the military to give back to my country. I am motivated to follow in the footstep or my family, my grandfather was a 3 time all american diver for the University of Maryland and is in the University of Maryland Athletics Hall of Fame for his significant achievements in diving. After he graduated he joined the air force and was a pilot for the vietnam war. My great grandfather joined the navy and later taught as a professor at the United States Naval Academy. I am motivated by them to strive to best the best person I can be. I have had many opportunities available to me and I try to use them wisely.
