Elizabeth Rubino '12 Recruiting Profile

Over the past several years my golf game has allowed me a variety of opportunities to compete in both US Challenge Cup and AJGA tournaments. Each year my scores have improved. Standing tall at six feet I am long off the tees averaging 250-260 yards. I have played on the boys' varsity golf team for the past three years. As a Sophomore and Junior I was named Boston Globe All-Scholastic Athlete, Boston Herald All Scholastic Athlete and Eastern Athletic Conference All Star. I placed 2nd in the girls' MA State Tournament and 7th in the New England Tournament. I was selected to play in the Massachusetts Junior Inter-City Matches in June 2011.  I shot a 78 to be the teams lowest scorer. I just won the Massachusetts Big "I" Junior Classic Championship held July 14-15 at the Robert T. Jones Sr. designed Crompin-Fox golf course which as a course rating of 71.5 and slope of 131. I shot a two day total of 161 (80-81). I am the only girl from Massachusetts to qualify for the National Big "I" Junior Classic Championship to be held July 30-August 4th in Madison, MS.  I was also named an Eastern Athletic Conference All Star for my Junior year performance and I was privileged to be selected again to both the Boston Globe and Boston Herald's All-Scholastic Golf Team. As the oldest in a family with four girls I am conscience and responsible. I am an honors student who has played high school basketball, sang in the chorus and participated on the debate team.
