Jayda Eggemeyer '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Jayda Eggemeyer. I am a Junior in high school and I've been playing golf since 2013, I started out my golfing career in Jeffco Junior Golf League. My freshman year I was dual roster (played both JV and Varsity) on the boys team at my school. This last year I played Varsity on the boys team (playing spot 1, 2, or 3). I was able to move from conference to districts to sectionals, only being 3 strokes off the mens state cut. I do plan to continue to play on the boys team this coming spring. I also will be playing as a independent women golfer for my school next fall of 2020 as my school does not have a women’s team. In the summers I participate in Gateway Jr. PGA, Jeffco Junior Golf League & CYC High School golf league. Summer 2018 I received the title "Player of the Year" for Junior PGA in the girl 15-19 9 Hole division and Athlete of the week for Jefferson County, MO. I ended the summer winning 5 out of 7 tournaments, 2 of those tournaments being two days, and placing 2nd in the 2 tournaments I did not receive 1st in. In the summer of 2019 in the CYC league my summer 9 hole average was a 43.25 and I was invited to the championship. In the championship I placed 1st with a score of 89 on 18 holes beating both the girls and boys division. After my summer events I was featured in an article in our county newspaper about my accomplishment. I keep myself very busying as I am involved in Varsity Cheer, Lancer Dancers, Student Ambassador, House Council, Campus Ministry, Concert Choir, and Student Council. I’m involved in the youth ministry at my church and sing in the choir there. I also work during the summers as a lifeguard at Arnold Rec Center. I am in Honors English, Spanish, Geometry, and World History and I have a 3.475 GPA. I would love to major in Business in college, as my Grandpa did. I have received Honorable mention twice and First honors twice. I am a very hardworking person and I am very dedicated to all I choose to participate in. Something that sets me out from others is I am very, very outgoing and I love being a leader. I enjoy public speaking and just having conversations with anyone I can. I am, very bubbly and high spirited, but one thing that people say really makes me stand out crowd is I am very outgoing and I’m a leader.
