I have been playing golf competitively for 4+ years. From 2018 -2020, in every year in high school, I have played the #1 position on my high school team, was team MVP each year, was medalist in 48 events, earned Medalist honors in our District and Conference tournaments, was Conference Player of the Yea last year, earned 1st Team All-Conference and All-District honors each year, and finished 21st, 20th and 5th in the High School State Championship, earning 1st Team All-State and Academic All-State honors. During the spring and summer, I play on the Gateway PGA Junior Tour, the Accelerated Golf Tour, and the Hurricane Tour. Since 2017, I have played nearly 2,000 holes of tournament golf. The summer of 2020, due to COVID-19, my tournament schedule involved less traveling and less tournaments, allowing only 340 holes of tournament golf, but did allow me to write a dystopian young adult novel, for which I am currently looking for an agent and publisher. I'll graduate high school with honors and a Scholar's Diploma, and I enjoy reading, writing and photography. I'm a hard worker with a strong work ethic and I'm very focused, both academically and athletically. My first goal in college is to get a creative writing degree from an academically selective university with a rigorous academic program. Although I enjoy playing golf, in college playing golf would be secondary to my studies. One thing I enjoy about golf is the opportunity to play as a team, as well as individually. I love mentoring younger students and players and get as much satisfaction out of a great performance from a teammate as I get from performing well myself. Within my group of friends, I'm the mediator; the friend that helps to bring the group together and smooth over any hard feelings or heal any wounds. I look forward to being on a golf team where the relationships and bonds make us like a second family; where we help each other on the course, in the classroom and off-campus in life.
