To start, my name is Chandler Kennedie McLaurin and my collegiate goals and aspirations in life is first and foremost be successful. Two, become an Architect and work in the field of architecture and three become a golf coach/golfer. I want to give back to my community by teaching kids how to play golf and then for myself be a golf pro and compete but mostly be a a golf coach. I want to continue to teach kids from the ages of 6-16 how to play and become interested in the sport. I am a great candidate for any golf team because I am dedicated and I have been playing since the age of 8 and I am now 17 soon to be 18 and golf has played a major role in my life since then competing, practicing and now teaching since 16. I am a team player, I am confident, focus, and most importantly a fair team mate and player. I overcome different obstacles whether that is not playing good, hitting a bad shot and being scared of people watching to break my concentration. I handle this by stepping back taking a deep breath, and telling myself I can do it and that I have to believe in myself and that im not always going to win. Golf is to become a better player yes, but to also most importantly gain experiences. What makes me different from other recruits in character, athletics and academics is my strong personality, confidence and determination.
