There are 4 things that are important to me in my life: my health, my family, my academics and the sports I play.
I am a respectful, honest, loving, fun-spirited and competitive girl. How I perform in school means a lot to me. I am a strong student academically, a leader in school activities and use my time wisely so that I continually do well, stay involved and have time to play sports.
Sports have always been important to me but without my health, love and support of my family I would not be the athlete I am today. I currently play golf, volleyball, basketball and like to ski and surf. My favorite sport is golf. I feel so fortunate because I have grown up surrounded by a few of the world’s top golf courses: National Golf Links of America, Sebonack Golf Club, and Shinnecock Hills Golf Club of which I am the first female caddy ever!
In the 7th grade, I started playing golf on the Boys Varsity team. It was a great experience and really fun but I was not able to compete in any of the girls tournaments that mattered most to me: the girls county and state tournaments. My wish to be able to compete in these tournaments came true this past Spring. With the help of a friend of mine and our parents, Southampton HS formed the first ever girls golf team. I am proud to say I won the Suffolk County Girls Golf Championship in a play-off, making history for my school.
I am a determined and focused athlete and have interest in playing women's college golf. It is important to me to attend a college that is strong in academics, has a welcoming campus, has an undergraduate population of less than 20,000 students and has a golf team that I can contribute to.
