Tell coaches about your collegiate goals and aspirations. My dream for the past 2 years now has been to work hard and play collegiate golf. Golf is my passion and has a place deep within my heart. I am looking for a school that provides a quality education and that will push me. I am a competitive person and want to attend a school with a competitive nature. I want to be challenged on and off the course. I will push myself in my studies and work very diligently. I would like to go to a school that will help prepare me for the real world and that will give me a head start into my career. The type of school I want to attend will be one that will test me in every way possible.
What makes you a good candidate for their team? I am a dynamic leader. I am a leader in all aspects whether it is helping someone with golf, taking a stance in a situation, and taking charge of a project. I always have a positive attitude, and try to encourage others to be positive. I show my determination on and off the course by not letting a bad shot or even my score get to me. I am a good candidate because I know failure is not final and will always work with energy and commitment. Golf and working hard in school has shaped my character by molding me into an insightful, audacious, genuine, and determined young woman.
What makes you different from other recruits in character, athletics and academics? I am different from other recruits because I am a well-known leader on and off the course. I put my team before myself. I am a selfless individual who is persistent and will not stop working until I achieve my goals. I am also a good candidate because I have the ability to adapt to change and adjust to difficult situations. Another reason that makes me different from other recruits is this previous summer, I had a bucket tear in my meniscus which required surgical repair. I was out of golf for over 3 months. Even though those 3 months of no golf were challenging, I am now back and playing and working harder than I ever have to get back to where I was before the surgery. I am not the kind of person to let a surgery like this break me. This surgery made me work even harder. Determination is one of the main adjectives I would use to describe myself. I did not and will not let this knee injury hold me back.
