Personal Statement

My passion for golf has developed overtime as I have begun to improve my skills and become more competitive. I became interested in golf through playing with my Dad and as I became more capable on the golf course, my Grandad has had a huge impact on my growing interest in the sport. I have learned about my confidence, strength, and perseverance as it relates to, not only my physical and mental abilities in golf, but also in my daily life and being more competitive in my academics. I am searching for a program that is as much like a family as it is a team, competitive, and high achieving. I believe I can contribute to your program because I am very coachable, I am a leader, and a I have the drive to be a better athlete and person.

My golf resume includes, the First Tee Program, PGA Junior, Triad Youth Golf Association, Carolina Golf Association, Peggy Kirk Bell Golf Tour, and my high school golf team. My largest commitment has been with Carolina Golf Association and PKBGT, which has helped me learn tournament skills and has increased my competitiveness. I was approved in 2019 for the highest level of competition in the PKBGT, which is the Bell National Series and allows me to play tournaments at collegiate yardages and against the toughest competition. Three of my greatest experiences in golf came from an opportunity to participate in the 2018 NCHSAA State Tournament with a great team in which we won our school's first 1A/2A State Women's Golf title. I also qualified as an individual for the 2019 NCHSAA State Tournament and finished runner-up as the highest finisher in our school's history. Lastly, this year I was honored to win the 2021 NCHSAA 1A/2A State Tournament and add another accomplishment that I have really worked hard to achieve. I do like to play as an individual, however, I prefer the team environment as it pushes me to be better.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
