Personal Statement

I will be entering my grade 12  year this fall.  I have golfed competitively for two season and am looking forward to the upcoming season now that golf events have been permitted in my province. Unfortunately, Nationals and the Next Gen events were cancelled by Golf Canada but I am fortunate that there will be some competitive opportunities in my home province this summer.  Some of my golf highlights include winning the 2019 Saskatchewan Provincial Junior Girls championship and receiving the 2019 Golf Saskatchewan Order of Merit for 15-18 girls.  I love competitive golf and I really hope to continue golfing and be part of a college golf team. I enjoy that golf always poses a different challenge  and that it is the kind of sport where you can continue to push yourself to improve no matter your skill level.  I am excited about the opportunity to experience college golf and to play as part of a team because I have had very few opportunities to participate in team golf events but I really enjoyed that experience and the dynamic of being on a team!

I am highly competitive and a well rounded student; in addition to golf, I run track and cross country.  I am also heavily involved in the music program at my school.  I sing in the Chamber Choir, the Senior Choir and have been a cast member in my school's musical theatre production for the past three years.  I am a French immersion student so many of my academic classes are in French.

Golf is my passion and it is my dream to continue to play in a college setting and to have the opportunity to be part of a team.
