My name is Hallie Crozier, and I have graduated with honours in June 2022. I am currently taking a gap year to train with Henry Brunton Golf Academy in Florida. I have been playing the game of golf since I was 12 years old and fell in love with it and made the decision in 2020 to play competitively and train to improve my game. In 2020 I participated in my first season of the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT). This was an excellent opportunity to get involved in competitive golf as all high school golf was cancelled due to Covid19. In 2020 after I experienced my first season of competitive golf I made the decision in the off season to train with Jeff Chambers Golf Academy, as well as working with a personal trainer to develop my strength and my mobility. I spend my grade 12 year in a Florida training at the Henry Brunton Golf academy and I had tremendous growth in my game.
I am an incredibly competitive athlete, and my academic success is especially important to me. I have been in love with sports since I was little being a multi-sport athlete. For seven years I was a competitive dancer in tap, ballet, and jazz, winning many awards and accolades. I played hockey as well as being an ice hockey official for U16 hockey. My passion for golf has grown the most and with the mental strength and confidence from my other sports it has allowed me to advance further as an athlete. I have learned to meet the challenges that golf brings and I continue to strengthen my mental toughness on and off the course. While I am on the course I try and focus on what I can do to benefit the ball and not get into trouble. I like to keep a one-shot focus, going up to the ball with confidence and thinking about my target, and not letting any distractions through. This has helped a tremendous amount in my game recently as my stroke count has come down significantly in recent tournaments. I am extremely optimistic and very coachable on and off the course, keeping an open mind to learning new skills and techniques that can better my game.
Some my golf highlights include:
Team Saskatchewan team member 2022 Canada Summer Games, Niagara Falls, ON
2022 Saskatchewan Ladies Amateur-tied for 3rd

I see college golf for myself as a period where I will develop a tremendous amount of growth as not only an athlete but an individual. Golf is my passion and I truly find self-fulfilment when I am golfing. I cannot wait to pursue my dreams of being on a college golf team.
