Hello, my name is Ava Romfo and I want to tell you a little bit more about me and why you should consider selecting me for your women's golf program. I am looking to take my golf game to the next level by finding a coach and university that will give me the opportunity to embrace my talents and attributes both on and off the course.
My dedication and hard work on the course has given me the ability to hit the golf ball better than most. I average 240 yards and above with my driver consistently, and hit my irons accurately. My coaches and peers tell me that I am dependable, a leader both on and off the course and demonstrate commitment to my team and teammates continuously. I come from a family that has had success in both D1 and professional sports, as well as the business world. I've learned what it takes to be successful, and I am willing to put in the work to develop, achieve and be successful.
My golf game has developed significantly over the past couple of years, yet I feel I still have the ability to improve. I have goals and am working towards them and would like to be part of a team that will help me develop my strengths, challenge me, and make me a better golfer.
In addition to my commitment on the course, I take numerous AP and honors classes to challenge myself and set myself up for success in college. I have received numerous academic awards for various individual classes as well as through school organizations and have been named an athletic scholar for each high school season. I believe that my hard work in the classroom will prepare me well as I aspire for a career in healthcare.
When I am not on the course or in the classroom, I enjoy spending time outdoors on the water in my hometown of Charleston, SC or at Lake Keowee where I enjoy water skiing, paddle boarding and boating.
