Golf is many great things, but one of the main reasons why I enjoy golf, is the competition between me and my opponents. Golf is one of the few sports that plays like an individual sport. In golf I do not have to rely on someone to hit a good shot or make a putt. It is me and me only out on the course and that’s why I love it. Even though I have only been playing golf for about two years now, it still has taught me a lot. I have learned that you can not blame anyone else for your mistakes except yourself, and when you hit that incredible shot, the happiness and excitement that overcomes your body is the best feeling in the world.
What would I bring to your team? I would bring my feisty, determined attitude and relentless mind set. I’m always up for a good challenge. I love it when someone says I can’t do something because it makes me even more determined to prove them wrong. Another impact I would bring to my team is that I would always try to challenge my teammates into being the best that they can be, because it’s not only my score that is important to me, but also the scores of my teammates.
What am I looking for in a coach is someone who is knowledgeable about golf and can help me and my teammates improve. I want my coach to take winning seriously, and encourage my teammates and I to be our best. I also want my coach to hold us accountable and lift our spirts up when we are struggling.
I’m really excited for what opportunities are out there after I graduate high school. I’m also looking forward to the next chapter of my life, and the thought of playing college golf really excites me.
