I started playing competitive golf around 3 years ago, beginning to compete in local NTPGA Medalist tournaments. Since then, I began gradually playing larger tournaments and my proudest golf achievement is placing 7th All-State in my freshman year State Championship alongside my Hockaday varsity golf team. In the future, I hope to play more national events and qualifiers to broaden the competition.
I place a lot of value on my academics also, so I am challenging myself with AP Calculus AB, AP US History, AP Biology, and Chinese in my junior year. I am also very involved in community service at my school and am a part of multiple programs. My favorite of these is Reading Partners, in which I visit public schools around my area twice a week during my lunch period to tutor children who are under-resourced. I have been a part of this program for two years now and I love seeing the impact that I can have on a child's reading skills after just a year of tutoring.
In college, I hope to continue playing golf at a competitive level and further my academics significantly, while also continuing to help the community in many different ways.

Those who weren't in the qualifying range were advised to withdraw as play would continue the next day. This was a great way for me to get some USGA experience and I learned a lot about competing at a higher level.

- 79 - 78 -- 5,819 -- 74.2/132 I struggled a little bit with windy conditions on the first day, but was able to save myself with 26 putts and up and downs to make up for my lack of greens hit. On the second day, I hit more greens, yet I allowed excessive heat conditions to weaken my mental game.
