Deja Chestnut '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Deja Chestnut and I am currently a junior at Summer Creek High School in Houston, TX. I started playing golf when I was a freshman at Summer Creek, while playing another sport, basketball.  However, when I became a sophomore, I turned my full attention to golf because I knew that it was my true passion.  Since my freshman year I have been on the Varsity Team by working hard and giving full dedication.  I qualified in my first regional tournament in 2019. I take pride in always playing to the best of my ability and having confidence on the course. Also, to insure that I am on top of my game I continue to push myself physically and mentally.  As a member of any team I bring dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment.  Academically, I am very determined to keep my GPA as high as possible. I will bring the same involvement and attitude to any college.  It was always been a dream of mine to play golf on a collegiate level and I look forward to the future ahead of me.
