I learned to play golf at an early age. Between the ages of 6 and 13, my dad and I would travel to various STPGA tournaments where I learned how to compete and improve my skills in a competitive environment. Once I entered high school I was exposed to a different level and type of competition; i.e. team / individual competition. Since my Freshman year, I have improved my game dramatically and I am now scoring in the mid 70s on a regular basis.
For the last year I have also been training with a professional MMA competitor. This training has added 15 lbs of muscle to my body and increased my core strength in a big way. This has given me added distance, accuracy and confidence, as well as significant physical endurance. I will continue to train in this same way as part of a college team.
My goal is to excel in competitive golf and to be part of a college golf team that will allow me to improve as a leader and as an individual player.
I also love animals and want to do something to make their lives better. Therefore, I would like to find a college that has not only a world class golf program, but also an excellent academic program that will prepare me for a future in veterinary medicine.
