I started playing golf 4 years ago and made the Varsity team my freshman year during try outs. Falling in love with the game, I have tirelessly practiced and earned the Varsity Captain position of the team the last 3 years. Some of my best accomplishments would be that I am the first girl in my high school’s history to qualify and play for the Reginal and State Tournament’s after just 2 years of playing golf. Growing up the daughter to a Navy Chief, I have been raised to show honor, commitment, respect and to have a focused work ethic. This has attributed to receiving multiple academic awards to break barriers and make history for my school. I currently have the honor to be the first student to hold a local government position while attending Green Run, being voted into the Virginia Beach City Council of Restoration. Being a team player means showing leadership abilities both on and off the course. These attributes have been recognized most recently by receiving the William and Mary University Leadership Award. Just as I have continued to improve my golf game year over year in driving down my average strokes from over 100 to an 80 and still dropping, I have also improved my consistency in driving distance of over 250 yards. I intend on bringing this same strong work ethic, coachable attitude and love of golf to your golf program and once again, make history.
