Personal Statement

There are many reasons why I want to be a college athlete.  Here are just a few of my top reasons.  College athletics would allow me to continue to play the sport I love at the next level.  Competing at the next level would allow me to challenge myself and make myself a more balanced person.  It also provides an avenue to meet other athletes that share the same passion for sports.  I particularly want to play golf in college.  Golf is a very challenging sport that requires skill and dedication to play.  I feel I have what it takes to play golf in college.

My dad is my inspiration for my passion for the game of golf.  He has been my coach since day one.  He is a scratch golfer himself and loves everything about the game.  His passion has inspired me to work hard and become a better player.  His support for me through the years is what has driven me to focus on learning the game as a whole.

I work hard on my academics.  School does not come easy to me but I work hard on maintaining my grades.  I'm currently taking my general courses along with honors classes.  I already know what it is like to miss classes for my sports.  I'm a multi-sport athlete; soccer, basketball, and golf, so I'm playing and practicing year round.  Our high school league travels to play a few of the schools in our league so we are constantly missing classes.  This has taught me to communicate with my teachers about assignments and class time that I miss in order for me to stay caught up on my classwork.

I have already set some goals for myself now and for when I go to college.  My main goal is not to have any regrets!  I want to be able to look back and be proud of what I have done and accomplished through high school and college.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
