January 2019Personal Statement
Playing golf in college and getting a degree in physical therapy are my collegiate aspirations. I'm as serious about academics as I am about being an athlete. I have learned to balance my time to excel in both while in high school. I've played multiple sports my entire life and have continued to be a multi-sport athlete lettering in three varsity high school sports: golf, basketball, and track and field.
When I started golfing seriously my freshman year of high school, it quickly became my passion. However, it was not until the 2018 season where I really broke out on the golf scene due to my dedication in the offseason. I took 10 strokes off my average during my high school season and went from 15th in the conference as a sophomore to 2nd as a junior. I know that my best golf is ahead of me when I commit to one sport in college.
Two things make me a great fit for your team. First, I am committed to getting better through hard work and dedication. Second, I am a team player who knows the importance of positive team chemistry.
