My name is Jaden Woiwode and I am interested in playing collegiate golf. I first picked up a club the summer before my freshman year of high school simply looking for a fall sport to play. I grew up playing multiple team sports as a youth, but had focused primarily on hockey and soccer. Shortly after hitting the range for the first time I realized that golf was going to be more than a filler sport. The challenge golf presents feeds into my personality. I quickly learned to take responsibility for my play, be respectful of the game and my competitors, while trying to consistently improve my overall scoring.
Growing up with two older brothers forced me to consistently push myself in order to compete with them in any sport. This drive continues to fuel my competitiveness and desire to succeed - both on the course and in the classroom. While qualifying for Wisconsin State Golf my junior year as an individual, I was often forced to miss a lot of school. It was up to me to finish my course work, seek teacher assistance when necessary, and learn to balance the rigors of a demanding golf/academic schedule.
Having only played three years of golf I truly believe that I have only scratched the surface of my potential. I am looking for an opportunity to grow and develop in the right program.
