my goal each day is to become a better gymnast and person than i was yesterday, and to reach my ultimate goal which is to be the best gymnast i can possibly be. what makes me a good candidate for a collegiate gymnastics team is that i am a very hard worker and i will do everything in my power to reach my goals. i also have a great deal of respect for my coaches, i am a very good listener, and i make corrections well. what may make me different from other recruits is that i believe that failure is essential to the process that will make me successful, and many may see me as fearless because i am not afraid to fail. academically, what sets me apart is that i had the honor to get skipped up a grade in first grade, because i had above average skills all around. this opportunity arose in third grade, where my teacher then wanted me to move two more grades up. i was so excited and honored to have this suggested, and it was taken into consideration but we chose a different path.
