Elizabeth Ryan '25 Recruiting Profile

I aspire to make a strong contribution to a NCAA gymnastics team at a college with animal science/veterinary studies so I may pursue my dream of helping animals stay healthy. 

I am dedicated to gymnastics and developing my craft.  To train with the best, I convinced my parents to travel 60 miles  each way, five days a week to practice at a nationally ranked facility.  Since joining this program my skills have taken flight! 

To get to where I am today I’ve endured hardships, injury and challenges. I’ve learned to preserve through setbacks, loss and change. I’ve developed the skill of tenacity which has helped me achieve high level accomplishments. Finishing Level 9 (2022) as NJ State Vault Champion and The National Beam Champion was very rewarding, but having to scratch at Level 10 Regionals (2023) is an example of the ebb & flow of the sport of gymnastics. I am determined to rebound from my injury and return to the National stage this season. 

In my limited time off from school and training, I spend time caring for and barrel racing horses. I find horses provide me with peace of mind and balance  

My hope is to continue to perform and compete at a high level for many years to come.  I will make a strong addition to a college team because I pride myself in being a coachable athlete, a positive role model and the “Anchor.” My favorite events are vault and beam because of my power but my coaches say I excel at all four events. I believe you should practice like you perform and I hold myself to always completing my assignments with integrity.
