Hi! I am Kylie Himmler and I am currently a junior in high school competing as a level 9 gymnast. I fell in love with gymnastics when I was 7 years old, and my appreciation for the sport has continued to grow ever since. Gymnastics has taught me time management, respect, goal setting strategies, self-confidence, teamwork, grace, and communication tactics. I love gymnastics because it has introduced me to a network of hardworking gymnasts, coaches, teammates, and many other individuals that have aided me along the way of my own gymnastics journey.
I do my best to bring a positive energy to those around me in everything that I do. In the gym I keep a good balance between having fun and working hard. To do this I set weekly goals to keep myself on track which gives me something to look forward to everyday at practice. When outside of the gym I exhibit these same qualities through my life at school and in my extracurriculars. I take great pride in my grades, and highly value leadership and involvement in my school, community, and gym. I am seen as a leader at school through my involvement in house government and a role model at my gym as the highest-level gymnast and a level 3 gymnastics coach. Knowing that I have people that look up to me reminds me of the examples that I should set for others which in turn improves my work ethic and positive mindset.
I would like to pursue collegiate gymnastics not only to continue the sport that I love most, but to show a greater scope of people all that I am capable of. I have worked very hard to get where I am today, and I wouldn’t want it to end after high school. Having the opportunity to improve my strengths throughout college would bring me so much joy and serve as a reminder to myself that if I put my mind to anything I can achieve it. I am so excited for you to join me for this upcoming season and follow along on my recruitment journey!
