Portia Trias '25 Recruiting Profile

As I stand at the threshold of my collegiate career, I am eager to bring my years of experience to the next level in acro tumbling at an NCAA level.  As a gymnast for 13 years, my skills, proven record, and my valued place on my team will see me thrive in this new environment.  

 At 3 years old, I was drawn to the sport of gymnastics because of the grace and power of the sport. Over the years, I have dedicated countless hours in the gym to honing my craft and mastering technique. Throughout my journey, I have realized that it's not just my personal accomplishments that keep me going, it's the camaraderie and teamwork that has helped me achieve excellence.   I have faced setbacks, but those challenges have only fueled my determination to succeed.  I have also been blessed to work with great coaches who have helped me every step of the way.  

Beyond the gym, I am also a committed student, daughter, sister, and member of my community.  I have learned over the years to balance my time between academics and athletics, asking for help when needed and giving back when I can.  My church and community have helped me grow spiritually and realize that I am blessed each day with new opportunities to make the world a better place.  I believe if I take God's lead, I can achieve great things!   My very big family is my #1 fan!  They are always there to support me keep me grounded and motivated.   

Being part of a collegiate team has always been a dream I have been working towards.  Every milestone I have achieved has gotten me closer to this goal and I'm ready to make the leap to a professional team. My strong work ethic, positive attitude, relentless drive, and faith make me confident that I have what it takes to thrive as a colligate student-athlete.
