Personal Statement

Hello my name is Bronwynn Lee I am a 2006 goaltender from Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Growing up playing hockey has had a tremendous impact on my life not only from the competitive atmosphere but from the relationships hockey has allowed me to build. My coaches and trainers have influenced me greatly in my career so far and encourage me to push myself to the best of my ability. My teammates and friends teach me to  enjoy and embrace every moment and have fun while doing the things I love.

I have played ice hockey since I was 5 years old when I moved to Vancouver Island from the interior of BC, and was eager to get started on the ice. Some of the things I have picked up from hockey are to be leader to younger players, team members, and mentors. Integrity with my actions and to have self responsibility and moral uprightness. Respect to coaching staff, Veteran players, Trainers, Guests, and Adults. Discovery with myself and to not be scared to try new things. Mental toughness/thick skin for when things in the game aren't great, and the ability to regroup and move on. And finally personal excellence. The ability to push myself to the best of my ability and to be proud of my actions.

As an athlete I pride myself of being a student of the game on and off the ice. I do goalie specific training, camps and fitness all year long and apply my determination and hard work towards my achedemics as well. I strive to do the best of my ability in the classroom and finish with a high GPA. Over the years of my career so far I have had to overcome many obstacles, of creating time to train and work hard and having self discipline within myself.

Things I can offer to any team are, sportsmanship, a good team player, determined hard worker, and loads of team spirit!

Thank you for your consideration.

I DO NOT GO TO COWICHAN SECONDARY SCHOOL, NCSA DOES NOT HAVE MY SCHOOL AS AN OPTION.

I ATTEND QUEEN MARGARETS SCHOOL, Duncan, BC
