My competitive drive started from a young age and hockey caught my interest as a fast paced game. Starting out playing girls hockey was fun but I found playing boys hockey gave me more of a challenge. I learned to be more aggressive on the ice and more confident in my abilities in my 3 years on a boys travel team. I also started coaching beginner hockey players which elevated my love for the game. Winning the 2019 CAHA State Championships is one of the accomplishments I’m most proud of especially being the only girl on the team. This season I am back playing girls AAA hockey and have been invited to the Pacific District Girls Select Camp this year.
While hockey is something I am very passionate about I am also focused on my academics. I aim to have an impactful political career in the future which is why I have already started preparing by taking a political science class at a local community college. While adding this on to my high school schedule with multiple AP classes, I still maintain a 3.7 GPA. Overall, I would consider myself well-rounded both on the ice and off.
