Personal Statement

I'm Abbi Komrofske, I have been playing hockey since I was 5. I have grown up watching my 4 older brothers play hockey and they have had such a big impact on my hockey career. Having them pave a path for me has been incredible and now I am able to work great under pressure and I am able to compete my hardest no matter the score of a game. Hockey has been a great part of my life as a place where I can go have fun, and girls hockey has had such a great impact giving me "sisters" that I never had. I started off playing boys hockey with the Colorado springs Jr. Tigers up until I was 14. My second bantam year was when I started learning about Girls hockey and I played for Team Colorado U14 AAA as well as Bantam A. I have attended many USA Hockey Multi District Camps as well as USA Hockey Girls U15 National Camp in St. Cloud Minnesota in 2019. I have been playing girls hockey for many years and it has helped me grow as a player, a leader, and a person on and off the ice which gave me the incredible honor of being named my teams Assistant captain in our 2020-2021 season.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
