When I am told to think about my future and where I might be in 10 years, I am usually confronted with thousands of possibilities and opportunities that could happen to me to get there. I don’t know exactly what I want my future to hold but I do know that I need hockey to be apart of it. Having the opportunity to continue playing at the collegiate level is just another dream I am working to fulfil.
I have been “behind the eight ball” in the hockey community for most of my experience. I got my start by playing at the late age of 10 on a coed team then made the transition to girls competitive three years later. I am now on a AA U19 team as one of the youngest players working alongside athletes that push me to reach my full potential as a student athlete, on and off the ice.
My strongest assets include my ability to give my everything to my team: every game, every practice, every dryland, every workout, every warmup. I am dedicated to building myself as a player and giving all I can to my team. I am constantly pushing myself in whatever I do, which includes the classroom, where I continue to balance my academic and athletic commitments.
