Hi! My name is Sydney Butler and I have been a full-time girl's ice hockey goalie for the past four years along with playing ice hockey for the past six. I currently play for the Stamford Lady Sharks U16/U19 girl's hockey team as my club team and the SWS varsity girl's hockey team as my high school team.
Hockey is a passion of mine and I'm always looking for ways to improve and excel. I'm a really outgoing, dedicated person, especially when it comes to being on the ice and in the locker room. I also work very hard both academically and athletically to maintain a balanced lifestyle while also caring for a wide array of animals within my home. One of my life passions is to be able to take part in a conservation program or project that deals with the revitalization of endangered or critically endangered species or ecological restoration. I would also like to continue my athletic career through coaching.
Playing ice hockey has taught me many crucial of life lessons throughout the years along with instilling in myself strong personal values. I have met a variety of spectacular coaches, players, and mentors through hockey and I'll be forever grateful for these opportunities as they have bettered me both as a hockey player and a person.
