Alexa Zehall '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alexa Zehall. I’ve lived in Florida ever since I was two years old after moving from Lindenhurst, New York. I grew up dancing up until 2020, and the year after i played soccer for a year and eventually during that year, started playing ice hockey. My father is the reason for the amount of extreme growth I have successfully produced in such a short amount of time as he has played hockey all his life. I am a 2025 graduate playing for the 19U Tier 2 Tampa Bay Crunch program in Florida. I enjoy challenging myself not only athletically but academically as well as I am taking honors and AP classes. Maintaining a high GPA is something that is very important to me. I am also successfully balancing my athletic and academic life.

Over the past years of playing hockey, I have learned a lot about leadership and dedication to something that you want to succeed in. I am extremely proud to be on such an amazing team and to be the captain of my current team. Assisting my teammates into achieving their goals as individuals is something I have made an effort in doing and especially mine as well. The hours of work that I have dedicated on the ice and especially off the ice is something I value as I’m always striving to see improvement in my game. Over the past years, confidence was a major thing I had yet to overcome. Playing hockey those years has allowed me to overcome that obstacle and grow not only as a hockey player but as a human being as well. Continuing to play hockey in college is a huge goal of mine and I would love to attend a school where I can excel academically and athletically!
