I am committed to play at Lawrence University starting in the fall of 2022.
For the first 12 years of my life, I lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where playing ice hockey, especially as a girl was unusual. Nevertheless, I did not let it stop me from getting on the ice at age 4. I haven't slowed down since. I now live in Atlanta, where hockey is just as scarce, but I practice with boys twice a week in order to get ice time when I am not playing for my team in Nashville. I workout by myself through the rest of the week in order to stay in shape.
I am a high school junior (2003 birth year) who plays for the Nashville Jr. Predators Girls U19 AA team. This is my fourth season playing in Nashville. My teammates and coaches describe me as a “natural playmaker” who focuses on creating opportunities for others. I love to fight for and maintain possession of the puck, and my true passion is making the perfect pass. I am a firm believer in the importance of team culture, and that a team’s success depends on its strong, positive, and collaborative values and relationships. I also believe in continual development, and I am constantly striving to enhance my skills, build my strength, increase my speed, and improve my overall game.
Off the ice, I keep a 4.12 gpa by taking multiple AP classes. I would like to pursue sports medicine or physical therapy as I progress towards the next stage in college. I am also an avid guitar player and spend much of my free time playing and listening to music.
