Going to the State Championships my first year playing was one of the highest points of my hockey career. It was definitely one of the most intense games I have ever played to this day, and it helped me grow as a goalie. Although that was influential, I think I grew the most as an individual and as a goalie during the 2015-16 season which was my third year playing hockey. I was 13 playing in a U19 bracket because the Admirals Hockey Club didn't have enough players to make a U14 team that year. We never won a game throughout the entire season, but that season helped me grow so much as a goalie and helped me gain so much more experience with the game. Going into the 2016-17 season with the St. Jude Knights, I realized how much of a better goalie I had become throughout that year, and was wanted by almost every team in my division. I have gained so much more confidence and skill as a goalie. This experience helped me grow as an individual and lead me to re-focus my goals on becoming a better goalie capable of playing at the collegiate level.
I believe that I am a very organized, hard worker that responds well under pressure. I think my positive work ethic will help me strive for more success in my athletic and academic career. I've learned to value the time with my friends and family because balancing work as a student-athlete is one of the most difficult things I've had to do. I am looking for a program that is supportive of my academic and athletic goals. I believe that my work ethic would be a great addition to your team!
