You have hockey players and people who like to play hockey. Skating at 3 I knew I had to be on the ice. At 4 I knew I was a hockey player. Ice hockey would be my heart and soul from then on and what defines me as a person and a player. I have always put in the extra work to improve my game, become stronger on the ice and allowed me to excel at the sport. Ever since playing 8U I have always competed at the highest level of competition. At 12 I was selected as part of West Coast Selects, one of the premiere tournament teams of the age group. At 15 I was selected to participate in USA Hockey 15 PDC. I have been playing with the Chicago Mission for five years. This year I am part of the 2021 defending national champion U19 team. This season has been very positive from a team and an individual standpoint. I am proud of my consistency and how much I have grown as a person, player, and a teammate. This has paid off, being played on top lines, powerplay, penalty kill, and end of games. I have been one of the top producers on the team this season. As a hockey player I would describe my style as hardworking, coachable, fast and skilled both directions on the ice with a high hockey I.Q. Making a play on net, being an option or getting into gritty areas on offense and aggressive defensive back check are also part of my game.
My education is the foundation for my future, and I take my academic success at the utmost importance. I am an Honor Roll student with a current grade point average of 3.86. I am looking to be part of a school that combines strong academics with a competitive hockey program. I am very interested in political science and looking to continue my studies in that field after high school.
I have a strong work ethic both in the classroom and on the ice. Whether it's studying for a test, completing an assignment, or playing in a game, I am giving 110% effort all the time. I come to practice with a positive attitude. I am a good teammate, and always striving to make those around me better.
My favorite quote "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog."
