I have been playing ice hockey for 9 years. I absolutely love the game. I devote every season of the year to the sport. I have learned the values of team, hard work, effort, and more while playing. I never feel better than when I am playing hockey. I've devoted myself to playing club team hockey, tournament team hockey, varsity hockey, and a variety of camps and other hockey-related activities throughout the fall, winter, spring, and summer. It is my dream to play in college because I absolutely love the game. I've put in as much effort as possible to work towards reaching this goal. Of all the things I've done and experienced in my life, hockey has been the most enjoyable and the most rewarding.
As a student, I have been on the honor roll every term since I was in 6th grade. I want to go to college to study in a scientific field and work towards building a career that I enjoy for the rest of my life. I have a 4.07 GPA as of June 2019.
What sets me apart from other players is that I give 110% effort every time I set foot on the ice, no matter what we're doing or how much sleep I got the previous night. It's my belief that even if you're having a rough practice, if you give your full effort during that practice, it can make you better and teach you how to work through rough patches. I believe that every coach has things they can teach you, and therefore I give them all my full attention and respect.
I played for Assabet Valley for 4 years and I will be finishing up my final club season this fall with the North Shore Vipers. I have been playing for Westford Academy since my freshman year. I was a Lowell-Sun 1st Team All-Star for the 2018-19 season.
My other sports experience includes softball. I have been on the varsity team since my sophomore year as an outfielder and a pitcher. Softball helps me with hockey for hand-eye coordination and experience working with a team in a different setting.
Thank you for considering me to be a part of your program. I look forward to speaking with you!
