My name is Grace Waldo from Northville, Michigan and I have a strong passion to play college hockey. I currently play on the 14U Compuware Girls Hockey Team based out of Plymouth, Michigan. I’m a second year player and will be moving up to the 16U age level next season. My main position is center but also play wing as needed in order to help my team. I’m currently enrolled at Northville High School as a freshman and will be in the graduation class of 2020.
I began my passion as a figure skater at Novi Ice Skating Club and then I realized I had a much bigger dream. I started to play hockey when I was ten years old, today I am fifteen and my dream of playing college hockey is bigger than ever.
For the first four years of my hockey career I was playing “AA” level hockey and this year is my first season at the “AAA” level here in Michigan. The competition is very strong and fast playing the HPHL league.
I also run track for my High School and I love to participate in clubs. I recently joined the Smiles for Students club which is a club for the mentally disabled children at my school. I absolutely love to work with kids and put a smile on their face. I also have created my own club, called Hearts for Hospitals. Which we make crafts, prayer cards, snacks and blankets for the kids in hospitals that don’t have as much as we do.
