Ever since I laced up my first pair of skates at the age of three, I have been passionate about the game of hockey. I started playing in a local house team and then advanced to the AAA level where I haved played for Meijer Hockey Club for the past three years. There are many reasons I am drawn to the game of hockey, including the skill required to compete in a fast paced environment, the quick thinking necessary to adapt to plays, and the teamwork required to be an outstanding player.
I have proven I can put in the effort required to compete at the college level by maintaining top grades in all my classes, including a college level course. I have demonstrated leadership by my role of team captain of my 14U team. I have also shown I have the time management skills and self-discipline necessary at the college level by participating in championship winning cross country and golf teams at my high school along with playing AAA hockey.
My goal is to earn a spot on a competitive team where I can further develop my hockey skills. I feel that my dedication and self-drive can be an asset to a team.
