This fall I will be starting my 12th season of hockey as a senior in high school. My goal is to find a college with a women's hockey team along with my other interests pertaining to campus life, academics, and majors. I hope to find a team in which I can play competitively and be a great asset. My passion for hockey has always caused me to give it my all, whether it is off ice training, practices, or games. I love learning new things, am humble about my skills, and respect my coaches and teammates. Some coaches have commented on my friendliness, teachable spirit, and dependability. Since I was age 11, I have been the 1st or 2nd point leader for my team for the season. I played AAA one year, but due to living in northern Michigan, playing for an upper-level Tier II team is a better fit for myself and my family. In order to form a competitive team, my demographics have also caused me to have to play up the past 3 seasons. As a first and second year 16u player, I was the leading scorer on my 19u team, which was ranked #1 in the state of Michigan and #5 in the nation according to MyHockey Rankings. We had a successful year, winning states being our biggest accomplishment, and will most likely be a top team for the 2020-2021 season with a core group of returning players.
There are several opportunities I will be participating in this summer; Midwest Exposure Camp in Wisconsin, possibly the Rush College Showcase if it is happening due to Covid, and K-Stars team will be attending Beantown Classic. I am intensely working off ice all summer as well in an effort to improve my speed and strength with a hockey-specific trainer.
I am a multi-sport athlete, playing volleyball in the fall and tennis in the spring as #1 singles. One of my biggest attributes is my work ethic. I work hard to achieve good grades and have been on the honor roll every semester, as well as being a member of student council, which meets after school 2 days a week all year long. I love being in a leadership role at school, on the court, and on the ice.
Thank you for taking the time to review my profile. I would love the opportunity to talk with you, and am very excited to find the right school and the right team in need of right-wing skater with the ability to score goals, has a tenacious defensive mentality, and will always put the team first!
