Rachel Brase '20 Recruiting Profile

Rachel Brase is a very hard working and responsible individual. She puts in the effort no matter what she is doing. In school, she is a straight A student (weighted GPA 4.72 on 4.5 scale, ranked 14th in her class of 277). Rachel plans on studying zoology/biology in college.  In hockey, she is focused and driven. For the Spencerport Rangers boys varsity hockey team, she finished the year strong competing in the Senior Select All-star game getting half of the shutout. It is amazing how good defense in front helps despite the all-star offense. For her Ranger career, she was a three year starter, posting 730 saves and improving from a Sophomore season save percentage of 81% to her Senior season save percentage of 89%. For her Rochester Edge girls tier 2 travel hockey, the state tournament didn't go as planned. She only played in one of the pool games, getting the 3-2 win but the fell short of making the semifinals via the tiebreakers. The highlight of the season was playing in the championship game in February as goalie only allowing one goal in regular play, none in overtime, and none in the shootout to help her team win the Steel City tournament.
