Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Jersey and I am a grade 10 student-athlete.  I am a dedicated individual who gives 110% at school and between the pipes.  My post-secondary goals are very general at this point in my life; to attend a college/university that fulfills both my academic and athletic interests.   Although I am still weighing my post-secondary options,  I am currently interested in sports medicine, kinesiology, athletic therapy - a career that helps athletes recover from injury and get back to the game they love.  My first season playing high school hockey (grade 9-12) was a successful one; earning a silver medal in the NorWossa finals. This was an exciting end to the season in which I played all of the final games.  In the off-season I stayed active; playing high school soccer and club volleyball where we went to the Nationals!  I also worked with a coach from Winnipeg who works  with numerous goalies, including the Winnipeg Jets goalies.  If I could put myself anywhere in the future, I would love to be playing in the NWHL.  Until then, I will work hard to do well in school and on the ice.
