Emily Bandkohal '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Emily Bandkohal. I’m currently 19 years old and am a 2021 high school graduate, but I took a gap year and will be planning to enter school as a 2022 to give myself more time to further develop both on and off the ice. 

I have an underdog mentality while always giving it 110% in every practice, game, and workout. I also thrive under competition with a strong team culture where everybody is pushing each other to be better than they were yesterday.

I have a goal to play college hockey because I started hockey later than most. I started playing hockey in grade 6, but I've only played goalie since grade 9. I quickly fell in love with the game and have had a strong passion for hockey. I want to see the opportunities that hockey brings to grow as a goalie on and off of the ice. 

I would be a good fit for a team that is looking for someone who is really passionate about the sport and wants to keep improving on their game, get better every day, and do what is best for the team and to help the team succeed in whichever way I can. I'm always looking for new ways to improve my game by doing extra workouts, practices, goalie training, vision training, film review, mental training, and improved nutrition. 

I have a drive and a passion for the sport that keeps me motivated to reach my goals and keep playing at the highest competitive level, and to keep playing the sport and position.
