My name is Kentley Gardner, and I am proud to come from a strong hockey community (Eagle Lake First Nation/Migisi Sahgaigan, ON) that has instilled in me the values of teamwork, discipline, and resilience. Growing up surrounded by the passion and tradition of ice hockey has fueled my desire to compete at the collegiate level while pursuing a degree that sets me up for success beyond the rink.
I recognize the opportunities I’ve been afforded—whether it’s playing in a competitive environment, learning from experienced coaches, or having the support of my community and family. These experiences have shaped me into a driven and committed athlete.
What sets me apart is my leadership and work ethic. On the ice, I thrive in competitive situations, pushing myself to grow and supporting my teammates do the same. Off the ice, I bring the same dedication to my academics, knowing that success in the classroom is just as important as success in the rink.
Coaches can count on me to bring a positive attitude, a relentless drive to compete, and a commitment to contributing to the team’s success. I take pride in representing my community and the sport I love and am eager to continue growing both as a player and as a person.
