Being able to maintain honour status every year in my academic career while achieving high success in the sport of hockey as a member of teams  winning bronze, double silver and double gold medals in Lower Lakes and Provincial championships in every division from Novice to Bantam has been a point of pride for me.  It has reinforced in me the value of hard work, sacrifice and determination to achieve personal goals.  I would like be a part of program that will continue to challenge me academically as well as provide athletic opportunities.

What I bring in character to both my academics and athletics is a respect for teamwork.  What distinguishes me from other players is my vision on the ice and being able to anticipate the actions of my teammates and opponents and make the correct choice.  I take great satisfaction in being able to translate coaching strategies into successful plays.  When I am on the ice, I funnel my energy into leading by example, supporting the team with grit and determination.  Team success is as important to me as individual success.  The greatest compliment I have received from coaches throughout the years is being told I was the heart of the team.  I feel that this aspect of sport is invaluable tool to have playing sport and in my future academic and professional goals and would make me an asset to any hockey team.
