I have been playing hockey since I was 7. I've tried many sports including soccer, softball, and field hockey but ice hockey is by far the only sport where I feel the best and most comfortable. I feel I was meant to play hockey and I want to play hockey for as long as possible. 

I have played on the South Coast Panthers for the last 5 years and have one 2 championships; one in U12B and one in U19A. Applying to high school, I knew it would be tough to find a school that offered girls hockey near me. That is when I came across La Salle Academy where the girls team won 4 of the last 5 state championship. Playing high school hockey really had a different feel. The team was a full roster with great talent, the competition was the most competitive I've seen, and the whole pace and feel of the game was fast and new. It made me a better player; I started on 4th line and moved my way up to first to play with 2 talented sophomores. I finished the season with 18 points and although we lost in the semis, we gave the #1 seed their first loss in the playoffs. 

For academics, I put a lot of time and effort into my work. I want to go into the medical field and to do that I need to get into a good college. I took all honors classes this year (freshman) and have gotten mostly A's and some B's. I chose all honors classes for sophomore year as well. I do well with juggling hockey and school at the same time and make sure both are at its best. 

Hockey is my passion and I have come a long way and there is still so much to learn. I am willing to learn new things to become a better hockey player. To do this I need to excel in school while still being focused on hockey. My dream is to play college hockey at the highest level and to study something great; medicine/health. If I work hard and stay focused, I believe my dreams will become a reality.
