I’ve been playing hockey since I was 4 and have been surrounded by hockey all my life. As I got older and played more I found that I liked to throw myself in the net and stop the pucks from going in the net so once I got to the travel and game levels I would constantly volunteer myself to play goalie and I just have stuck with it through all these years. I have played for the Ladies Team SD and I have been playing with the girls teams for now three years, as before I had played with the boys.
I have always wanted to take hockey to higher levels and have wanted to play in college as it would allow me to do what I love every day. I always look for opportunity’s and find what’s best for me.
I practice as much as I can and I have practice usually 4 times a week during the season along with dry land workouts that we do before practice. But I do like to continue to practice on days I don’t have hockey like shooting or working on movements in my garage. When I’m on the ice in practice or in game I like to work hard and be aggressive towards the puck. I also like to play the puck out and can make passes to my teammates from our end to help make plays when other teams change after a dump. I also always make sure my teammates know what’s happening behind them as I am very vocal to them to help during the game.
I always look for ways to improve myself and try my hardest to make needed changes during my game play. I am nice to my teammates and I am open to meeting to people.
