Personal Statement

I'm a dedicated, hard-working and driven multi-sport athlete.  Growing up, I was fortunate to play hockey on a co-ed team, often being the only girl on our top-tier youth teams.  That experience has been extremely beneficial to my development as an athlete as well as a person.  The boys helped to push me both physically and mentally on the ice and we had some amazing experiences along the way.  We had the highest of highs with back to back New Hampshire U12 Tier 2 State Championships and before that the lowest of lows when we lost in quadruple overtime in the NH U10 T2 State Championship game.

As an 8th grader I was also lucky enough to play varsity hockey for our local high school.  That first year was amazing as I learned how to play against women that were much older and more experienced than I was.  That season ended in a State Championship loss to our biggest rivals, neighboring Woodstock, VT.  We learned from that experience and were able to capture the Vermont D2 State Championship this past March at UVM.

The successes that we've seen were only possible from the losses that we endured, and I'm a firm believer that failure drives success.  Understanding your weaknesses and mistakes only helps to build character and make you a more complete person and athlete.

I would consider myself a very good student and love school.  Math and Science are my favorite subjects.  My other interests are soccer, art, lacrosee and my golden retriever puppies Cici & Em (CCM).

My goal is to play hockey at the highest level possible and to continue pushing myself.

By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
