Personal Statement

I am a hard worker,  on and off the ice, and work to lead my team and support the coach and captains, even though I was the youngest on the 19U team two seasons ago. My coaches have said that I am coachable and always willing to play what is needed.  Defense is my strength and preferred position. I have played forward  and center successfully.

As a defenseman, my height and strength benefit the team. I won "Hardest Shot" twice in skills competitions.

I know that improvement takes time and work. I put in the effort to see those steady improvements. Looking at video, I see gains from November to December. I expect to continue to see the pattern continue throughout my high school years and into collegiate level hockey.

I'm a hard worker not only on the ice, but also in the classroom. I ask questions in athletics and academics to improve my understanding.  As a Freshman I was awarded Outstanding Student in Science. I take AP and Honors classes. My favorite current classes are Math Analysis (Pre-Calculus), Biology, and Digital Electronics, in which I am the only female.

I am ready for new challenges, and will work to become your favorite student athlete.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
