I have been playing hockey since I was 5 years old and I've loved it ever since. I have played through a local boys program until I was 14. I wholeheartedly believe that those years taught me how to be resilient in adversity and helped develop my character on and off the ice. I would describe myself as a player that will always work hard and one that looks for ways to play the game better as a team. I was never the player with the most points on a team however I was always the most consistent and reliable. As I have grown up and played the game on multiple levels (tier one and high school), I have recognized traits that are favorable for teams and I see myself as a player that is a better addition in the long run on a collegiate team. I am not scared to push myself and bring a team along with me. After all, nothing beneficial comes from being comfortable. Academics are a huge part of my life and I have maintained a 4.0 GPA. I know that there is a life outside of hockey and education is the key to that success. School is interesting and fun for me because I like to learn something I didn't know and I also like to see how much I can accomplish. I am currently taking AP Biology as a sophomore and it is my favorite class, even with the strenuous workload. Ultimately, I aspire to help people in my lifetime and also do something I love to do. I love the game of hockey and I am determined to compete in college to push myself as an athlete and as a student.
