Why am I the right candidate for your university and what makes me different? After putting thought into that question, I would say my perseverance, passion and character. In athletics, you can be the "star" athlete each and every time, but if you don't possess that depth, in order to lift your teammate or team up, you are just a void in the process. This is my firm belief! My commitment to myself and my team is to always walk off the field each and every time knowing I gave it my all,. I also want to feel that I added value to my team and teammates for those 2-3 hours. Did I provide them a different perspective in attitude that helped them make a difference on the field? Did I learn something from someone and teach another? Did I make a difference off the field to them? I not only apply this philosophy to my athletics, but I carry this over into my academics and every day life. It is essential to put forth every ounce of effort into your academics and walk out of each class knowing your excelled at the top of your game and contributed. In the day to day, that can apply to the treat others how you would like to be treated philosophy. Always help those who need assistance, lend a hand to those who need a shift in mindset and be a friend to those who need you. You never know what students or individuals are going through on any given day. By offering friendship and positivity to those who need it, it could be all the difference for them to choose one path over another.
