My goal is to play competitive lacrosse at the college level while pursuing an education that will prepare me for a possible career which combines the study of criminology/forensic science and biology.
I began playing lacrosse in first grade. While I also enjoy cross country, basketball, and weight lifting, lacrosse is my first passion. Midfielder is my primary position, but I'm also very effective as a defender. I’ve been told I am very coachable and that I have a high awareness for the game, which has allowed me to quickly read what is happening on the field and anticipate play. This has helped me be more effective in defensive play, transitioning the ball, and setting up scoring opportunities (most often for others on the team).
I believe in working hard for goals and in taking personal responsibility for outcomes. We don't always get the results we seek, but we can choose to learn from experiences and try again. Running cross country, in particular, has taught me a lot about how deep I can dig to overcome the physical and mental challenges of competing.
I work hard at school and take several honors classes. I also participate in the gifted and talented academic program. I made the honor roll last year and am working hard to do so again this year. I am also active in the National Charity League and volunteer regularly throughout the year.
Lastly, I love Classic Rock music and enjoy learning songs on my acoustic guitar. I also enjoy online gaming when time permits.
